On Wednesday 28th July, 2021, Olive Community Development Initiatives was honored to have been part of the implementation partner for the @Secureourlives project on amplifying women’s voice towards sustainability and inclusive peace ☮️ through the townhall meeting with survivors and important stakeholders.

#Secureourlives Provide space for women across the country to share first hand experiences of their insecurity (kidnapping, farmer herder violence, state sponsored violence, non-state actor violence and general insecurity including rape, murder, assault, armed robbery etc.)

 At the event we documented women’s experiences of insecurity in kwara state and amplify these experiences with the aim of exerting demands for improved security for Nigerians.

 We also discussed and agreed on collaborative solutions and actions to improve the security in Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
