International Day of the Girl Child 2025

On October 13, 2025, Olive Community Development Initiative visited Offa Grammar School in Offa LGA to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child with a strong reminder — girls are not just recipients of development efforts; they are active leaders of change.

At a time when the world is confronted with intersecting challenges such as gender-based violence, climate change, and digital inequality, girls continue to rise, speak out, and lead conversations, often from the frontlines of their communities.

During the engagement, OCDI encouraged the students to embrace their identity, recognize their influence, and step boldly into leadership, even in the face of systemic barriers. The conversations were intentional about shifting narratives — from girls being seen as vulnerable to being acknowledged as powerful agents of transformation.

OCDI remains committed to creating safe and empowering spaces where girls can learn, lead, and advocate for their rights with confidence.
