GLOBAL FUND NATIONAL ALIGNMENT FOR HIV IMPACT (NAHI) PROJECT
The Global Fund supported and FHI 360 implemented National Aligned HIV & AIDS Initiative (NAHI) Grant is supporting HIV prevention, treatment and care programs targeting the General & Key Populations in 17 Nigerian States to which Kwara State in also part of, through Society for Family Health (SFH). One of the interventions to deliver priority services to key populations is through the One Stop Shop (OSS). The project’s goal is to reduce the incidence of new HIV infections, mortality and morbidity in Kwara State among the general population, through intensifying interventions for key and vulnerable populations.
OCDI implements HIV Testing Services for Female Sex Workers through peer-to-peer testing approach across different Local Government Areas of Kwara State. While identified HIV Positive FSWs and individuals who require Pre-Exposure Prophylaxes or STI treatment are linked to appropriate services at the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) operated by SFH.
Field work (testing) commenced by OCDI 22nd of September, 2022 after all engaged ad-hoc staff (FSWs) were trained by SFH and commodities were provided.
