SENSITIZATION ON GENDER BASED VIOLENCE FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS AT ILUDUN ANGLICAN GIRLS SCHOOL, ORO KWARA STATE

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual, global campaign challenging violence against women and girls.

Olive Community Development Initiatives with the support of ActionAid Nigeria funded by Global Affairs Canada organised a sensitization program for adolescent girls of Iludun Anglican Girls College Oro, Kwara State.

The program which started by 11pm on Friday 25th November, 2022 and focused more on the awareness of Gender-Based violence and examples of Gender-Based violence.

The female students were excited and were able to ask questions from the Programs manager and Counselor who were able to answer almost all of the questions.

At the end the program, the female students were encouraged to speak out if they are experiencing any form of violence or sexual harassment.

As the campaign against 16 Days of Activism is still on, lets keep campaigning together as we say NO! to all forms of violence against women and girls.
